BAG (Black Audio Generator) is in beta. This page covers the beta signup on this site. Plain language, no tricks.
What we collect
- Email or phone number. One of them is required to join the list; you can give both.
- What you make (storytime, recaps and so on), if you pick one.
- Text-message consent, only if you check that box: we store that you said yes, when, and the exact version of the wording you saw.
- Instagram handle, if you give it. Optional.
- Whether you want to use the voices or be a voice, if you tell us.
- Campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) if you came from one of our links, and the time you signed up.
If you apply to be a voice (on /apply), we also keep what you put in that form: the name to call you, your email or phone, your Discord and Instagram if you give them, where you're from, how you describe your voice, the styles you pick, a link to your sample if you share one, and that you confirmed you're 18+ and that the sample is your own voice. We use it only to review your application and contact you about it, and the same deletion request below covers it.
The site has no ad trackers, no analytics cookies and no third-party scripts. Playing a voice clip doesn't send us anything about you.
To keep bots off the list, we limit how many signups can come from one connection. For that we keep a scrambled, one-way version (a salted hash) of your IP address for up to 2 days. We never store the address itself.
Why
- To let you into the beta in signup order and contact you about it: by email, or by text only if you opted in.
- To text you about the beta, only if you opted in. We are not sending any texts yet. Texting starts only after our carrier registration is approved, and every text will let you reply STOP.
- To understand who the beta is for (what you make, whether you want to be a voice).
We don't sell your information or share it for advertising. We don't sell or share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties for their marketing.
Where it lives
Signups are stored with our database provider (Supabase) and the site is hosted by Vercel. They process it for us and for nothing else.
How long
We keep your signup for as long as the beta runs, or until you ask us to delete it.
How to delete it
Email privacy@blackaudiogenerator.com from the address you signed up with (or, if you signed up with a phone number, include that number) and say "delete me". We'll remove your signup, including your phone number and consent record, within 30 days and reply when it's done. To stop texts at any time, reply STOP to any message.
Kids
The beta is for people 18 and older.
Changes
If this page changes, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects what we do with information you've already given us, we'll email you first.
